Veterinary Technician - Surgery

Description CARE Veterinary Center is looking for a full‑time Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Frederick, MD. About You You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end‑to‑end surgical and perioperative care for our critical patients. Your life‑changing work will range from the hands‑on care of preparing patients, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting in advanced procedures, to support services including instrument management, sterile technique and coordinating post‑operative recovery. Your Experience & Skills Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care) CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) strongly preferred Superior/advanced technical skills Strong anesthesia skills (able to obtain BP, ECG, SpO2, ETCO2 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care) Positive work attitude Self‑motivated Excellent communication and organization skills You’ll Grow with Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
