Salary: $150,000–$200,000 + strong incentive bonuses

About the Opportunity

An established commercial roofing contractor is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead operations in the Baltimore market. 

This is a hands-on leadership role with heavy involvement in field operations, production, project execution, workforce planning, safety, quality, and financial performance .

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial roofing experience and be comfortable working closely with project managers, superintendents, foremen, crews, and subcontractors to keep projects running safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day commercial roofing operations for the Baltimore location.
• Provide hands-on leadership to project managers, superintendents, foremen, crews, and subcontractors.
• Maintain a strong field presence and regularly visit active jobsites.
• Oversee project schedules, production, manpower, labor planning, safety, quality, and job performance.
• Resolve field and operational issues that could impact schedule, budget, or customer expectations.
• Support large and complex commercial roofing projects from startup through completion.
• Monitor job costs, labor productivity, forecasting, WIP, ECAC, backlog, and overall profitability.
• Ensure proper staffing and crew deployment based on workload and project needs.
• Develop and mentor operational and field leadership.
• Maintain strong communication between field teams, project management, estimating, and customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial roofing operations, production, or senior project management experience
• Current or previous experience working directly for a commercial roofing contractor
• Strong field management and production leadership experience
• Extensive knowledge of commercial roofing systems and installation practices
• Experience managing project managers, superintendents, foremen, crews, and subcontractors
• Strong understanding of scheduling, job costing, labor planning, and project profitability
• Proven leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability and willingness to spend significant time in the field

• Base Salary: $150,000–$200,000 , based on experience
