Job Summary:
An Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a medical-surgical oncology outpatient setting in Santa Rosa, California. The role involves providing infusion therapy and managing port care for adult and geriatric patients. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Santa Rosa, California
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Floor
• Shift Hours: 8 hours, with possible shifts from 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, Oncology Certified Nurse (ONCC) or Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification, one year of previous oncology or infusion outpatient experience, proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system, California RN license, and flexibility to work scheduled shifts
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic health record experience is preferred
• Additional Information: First-time travelers accepted. Weekends and call are not required. Locals are accepted. Candidates must include all requested time off at the time of submittal.
• Responsibilities: Administration of chemotherapy, monitoring chemotherapy, port management, blood and blood product administration, handling of infusion pumps, management of complications such as tumor lysis syndrome, extravasation injuries, and sepsis, as well as patient assessments related to side effects and neurological status.
