About the Position

License: Valid state nursing license required. Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required. Must-Have: - Critical care experience preferred. - Experience with PCU or ICU is advantageous. - Willingness to float to meet facility needs. - Ability to manage a mixed patient population with various medical conditions. Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in a progressive care unit. The nurse will care for patients with cardiac issues, minor trauma, respiratory conditions, and mild hemodynamic instability. Rooms are equipped for negative pressure and have ceiling lifts. It is expected that the nurse will work weekends based on unit needs. Floating to sister units may be required according to facility demands. The patient-to-nurse ratio is manageable, ensuring effective care delivery. Knowledge of various medical procedures and equipment, including BiPAP, chest tubes, and IV management, is essential. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapy and pharmacy, to provide comprehensive patient care. All candidates must adhere to the facility's scheduling guidelines and availability requirements. Professional development is encouraged, with a focus on completing necessary training modules within the first week of the assignment.
