This remote position requires a candidate with hands-on background and technical knowledge in ophthalmology-specific medical billing and revenue cycle management. We are initially recruiting a single qualified medical billing professional who will work closely with the practice before expanding the remote billing team. Ophthalmology Billing & Coding: Accurately prepare, code, and submit medical billing claims specific to ophthalmology procedures and consultations. Claims Management & Follow-up: Monitor submitted claims, identify rejections or denials, and file necessary appeals or corrections to ensure timely reimbursement. Accounts Receivable: Work through aging reports, conduct routine account reconciliation, and manage billing communications. Ensure patient insurance benefits, eligibility, and authorization details match US clinical standards. Practice Coordination: Collaborate directly with doctor office management to streamline overall billing workflows. Ophthalmology Billing Experience: Candidates must possess prior, direct medical billing experience in the ophthalmology field. English Proficiency: High-level spoken and written English fluency is essential to effectively coordinate with US insurance providers and medical staff. Spanish proficiency is not required.
