Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night and day rotating shifts available: 3x12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 - 07:30 or 07:00 - 19:30. Shifts may be variable based on the operational needs of the hospital.

We are seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing care for patients in the Med/Surg Tele unit, with the potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and ED as necessary. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced RNs looking to contribute to patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on telemetry.
• Monitor patient vitals and report any changes in health status.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create effective care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatments.
• Participate in shifts that cover every other holiday.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 18 months of combined permanent nursing experience in the specialty.
• 18 months of recent experience specifically in Med/Surg Tele nursing.
• Active Ohio RN license or a compact state license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• One reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required.
