Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance reviews of work completed by a managed service provider to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
• Process billing adjustments, rebills, and account corrections.
• Review utility usage data, billing determinants, and customer account configurations.
• Research and resolve routine billing exceptions and discrepancies.
• Apply utility rate schedules, tariffs, and customer classifications accurately.
• Support credit-related billing activities and account maintenance.
• Respond to routine billing inquiries and investigate account issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and internal audit controls.
• Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Provide informal guidance and quality feedback to the managed service provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in billing, utility operations, accounting, finance, customer operations, or a related analytical field.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify billing discrepancies and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience working with utility billing systems or regulated utility environments is a plus.
