Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Design

Senior Electrical Engineer We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing secure, mission‑driven electrical systems for critical infrastructure. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the creation of detailed electrical drawings and conduct rigorous engineering calculations to ensure design accuracy and compliance. Collaborate proactively with business development teams to identify and secure new projects, cultivating positive and long‑lasting relationships with clients. Serve as mentor and resource for junior engineers and technicians, fostering professional growth and maintaining departmental standards. Review and edit comprehensive project specifications to maintain technical quality and clarity. Conduct field visits to perform inspections, gather data, and develop accurate record drawings to support project documentation. Coordinate construction submittals, manage RFIs, and address contractor inquiries to ensure smooth project execution. Provide essential support during construction phases and, when acting as a Group Leader, oversee timesheet reviews and performance evaluations. Qualifications Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering practices and principles at a senior level, especially in system reliability and protection coordination. Strong business acumen and understanding of management principles for project leadership and client servicing. Exceptional client communication and service delivery skills, ensuring alignment with client needs throughout project lifecycles. Proficient in conflict resolution and negotiation, capable of managing diverse stakeholder relationships professionally. Advanced technical aptitude regarding electrical system design, grounding, lightning protection, and energy efficiency analysis. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent; a Master's degree or ABET‑accredited program is required. Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, with proven design leadership and project management. Comprehensive understanding of applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. Experience with project management tools and methodologies to support effective planning and execution. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects from conception through construction support. Salary Salary range: $104,480 – $156,720.
