Job Description:

• Operates radiation detection and measurement equipment to capture and record visual representations of radionuclide concentrations in specific body areas.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients as directed by a radiologist.
• Reviews patient requisitions and charts with the radiologist before starting exams.
• Explains the nature of tests to patients to ensure compliance and understanding.
• Monitors contaminated articles and bed linens using a Geiger counter to prevent the spread of radioactivity.

Education:

Associate [Required]

Bachelor's [Preferred]

Field of Study: Completion of PET/CT training program.

Work Experience:

1+ years of position-related experience [Required]

2+ years of position-related experience [Preferred]

Experience in PET and CT [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine Technology (R.T.(N)(ARRT)) [Required] OR

Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) [Required] AND

Basic Life Support CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) [Preferred]
