Senior Cost Accountant

Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY
\n \nProvide support to the business operations team on cost drivers of the business. Oversee and analyze cost expenditures and purchases.
\n \nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
\n \n- \n
- Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activities such as inventory, raw material purchases, labor, and overhead. \n
- PPV (Purchase Price Variance) analysis and reporting. \n
- Margin analysis on material revenue vs material costs, including yield/scrap loss analysis. \n
- Assist in month-end close of the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries. \n
- General ledger account reconciliations. \n
- Reconcile inventories and analyze periodic changes to balances. \n
- Assist with external and internal audits. \n
- Continuous improvement of cost accounting functions and processes. \n
- Various ad hoc reporting and analysis.Other duties which may be assigned by your manager \n
QUALIFICATIONS/ CAPABILITY PROFILE
\n \nMinimum Education
\n- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting \n
Minimum Experience
\n- \n
- Minimum of 5-7 years of cost accounting or financial analysis \n
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, CPG a plus \n
Minimum Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
\n- \n
- Excellent analytical skills and sound understanding of accounting principles \n
- High proficiency in Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables \n
- ERP system experience, prior usage of Microsoft D365 a plus \n
- Experience with Nulogy WMS/MRP software a plus \n
- Experience developing and analyzing standards costs \n
- Ability to effectively communicate results and issues to various audiences \n
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, collaborative environment \n
- Naturally inquisitive and proactive mentality \n
