Recruiting Solutions is partnering with an innovative and growing engineering organization seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to join its expanding automation team in Greenville, SC. What You'll Do
As an Electrical Engineer III, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering innovative automation solutions that improve manufacturing performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical control systems, control panels, schematics, and automation architectures for custom equipment and manufacturing systems
- Develop I/O lists, cable schedules, wiring diagrams, power distribution layouts, and detailed engineering documentation
- Lead electrical and automation engineering projects from concept, design, and build through installation and startup
- Support machine commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, validation, and customer acceptance activities
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, controls engineers, manufacturing teams, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering standards, CAD libraries, design processes, and system performance
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including UL, NFPA, and NEC requirements
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship while contributing to innovative automation and robotics projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline preferred
- Associate Degree with significant relevant experience will also be considered
- 6-8+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, machine building, systems integration, or related fields
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar electrical design software
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, automation controls, robotics, and machine integration
- Knowledge of UL508A, NFPA, NEC, and industrial networking systems
- Proven troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project execution skills
- Custom machine design and manufacturing automation
- Robotics integration and automated production equipment
- Industrial control panels and power distribution systems
- Startup, commissioning, and field support activities
