Medical Assistant II (Pediatrics) – Houston, TX

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant II for a 13-week contract opportunity with a leading pediatric healthcare organization in the Houston Medical Center area. This is an excellent opportunity for a certified Medical Assistant with pediatric and vaccination experience to join a fast-paced clinical team.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Must be flexible to support seasonal flu vaccination events, with occasional shifts beginning as early as 5:30 AM.
  

Location

• Primary work location: Houston Medical Center
• Must be willing to travel to additional clinic locations in The Woodlands and Katy as needed.
  

Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients for provider examinations
• Obtain and document health histories, chief complaints, vital signs, height, weight, and BMI
• Administer immunizations and injections
• Collect patient specimens for laboratory testing
• Document medications, allergies, and patient information accurately
• Coordinate patient care and assist providers during clinic visits
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and families
• Support seasonal vaccination clinics and community flu vaccination events
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
• Pediatric experience required
• Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or equivalent accepted certification)
• Current BLS Certification
• Vaccination/immunization administration experience required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
