Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Anesthesiology - UHealth SoleMia

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Full Time position in the Department of Anesthesiology at UHealth at SoleMia. Responsibilities Work in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other physicians to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures. Provide care for a patient before, during, and after a medical procedure or surgery by performing assessment, preparation, and administering and maintaining anesthesia to ensure proper sedation and pain management. Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia and manage immediate post‑operative needs. Conduct pre‑operative assessment and administer anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist. Perform pre‑ and post‑anesthesia patient visits and document anesthesia notes. Review medical history, evaluate patients, and determine proper anesthesia methods. Perform or evaluate diagnostic tests such as radiographs and electrocardiograms. Measure and monitor the level and speed of anesthesia administration. Monitor patient vital signs to ensure safety and inform physician of patient’s condition during anesthesia. Manage patient airway or pulmonary status using techniques such as endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, respiratory therapy, and extubation. Prepare prescribed solutions and administer local, intravenous, spinal, or other anesthetics following specified procedures. Respond to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering fluids or drugs, and using basic or advanced life support techniques. Develop anesthesia care plans. Adhere to university and unit‑level policies and procedures and safeguard university assets. Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree and graduation from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia Program (CRNA). Valid Florida CRNA License, BLS/ACLS/PALS required.
