Director of Finance

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, delivering actionable insights on financial performance, trends, and overall business health
• Evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives, pricing strategies, and operational changes
• Review and structure contracts and key agreements to ensure financial alignment and risk mitigation
• Partner cross‑functionally on workforce planning and resource allocation decisions
• Lead annual budgeting, long‑range planning, and rolling forecast processes across departments
• Enable data‑driven decision‑making by educating leaders on financial metrics and performance drivers
• Deliver timely and accurate reporting on KPIs, budget vs. actuals, and growth trends
• Own month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and oversee the adoption of new accounting standards
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain integrity of financial statements
• Oversee ERP systems and financial data accuracy, including product and pricing master data
• Support audit processes and coordinate with parent company reporting requirements
• Design and implement scalable financial systems, processes, and controls to support growth
• Drive improvements in operational efficiency through process optimization and automationManage cash flow through oversight of collections, disbursements, and payroll
• Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance team
• Evaluate and evolve the finance organization structure as the company scales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5–7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including leadership responsibility
• Strong foundation in financial planning & analysis, accounting, and reporting
• Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, or technology‑driven environment (SaaS experience strongly preferred)
• Proven ability to translate financial data into clear insights and business recommendations
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders
• Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions independently
• Hands‑on experience with accounting/ERP systems
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
