Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, assisting radiologists with imaging procedures, and maintaining ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment ensuring accurate imaging and safety compliance.
• Capture and transmit high-quality images to PACS and facilitate timely review by physicians.
• Assist in training and mentoring new ultrasound staff members.
• Manage scheduling, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient transportation when necessary.
• Ensure all supplies are stocked and equipment upkeep is documented.

Qualifications:

• Validate certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or ARRT.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of hands-on experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with office management practices.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
