Generally Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to work additional hours to meet reporting and regulatory deadlines. This position is hybrid and remote eligible for up to 40% of the time.

Pay and Pay Incentive:

Salary Range: $177,861- $224,228

Purpose of Position

The incumbent for this position is responsible for timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting. In addition, this position ensures the ongoing development/maintenance of an efficient and effective financial and accounting control environment throughout the organization. It also ensures that the Credit Union is in continuous compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory agency reporting requirements.


Accountabilities

Develops, implements, and maintains the Credit Union’s overall accounting and financial recordkeeping processes. Prepares financial reports, analyzes results, and presents findings and recommendations. Reviews existing and proposed processes/activities throughout the organization to ensure that all such activities are conducted in a manner that ensures the safeguarding of the Credit Union’s assets. Coordinates reporting of monthly financial results to the Senior Management Team and the Board.

Represents the Accounting Group in various cross-functional activities including corporate projects to ensure financial recordkeeping and reporting are considered in the decision making process. Serves as the lead accounting contact person within the Credit Union for external auditors and regulatory examiners

Oversees corporate estimates including the allowance for loan and lease loss estimate calculation to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.


Partner with executive leadership to track and report on strategic initiatives, developing dashboards and KPI frameworks to monitor progress, ensure alignment with financial and operational goals, and provide actionable insights that drive timely decision-making and accountability across the credit union.

Assembles, motivates, develops, and recognizes a competent staff to meet the current and future needs of the Credit Union

Leverage strong technical expertise to drive process improvements and automation, evaluating and implementing systems, tools, and data integrations that streamline workflows, enhance accuracy, and support scalable financial operations within the credit union.

Position requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance required, graduate degree in business studies preferred
• P.A. designation required
• Working knowledge of financial and managerial accounting principles including investments, loan loss reserve, and cost accounting methodologies as applied in a financial services industry environment
• Extensive knowledge of computer information systems including budgeting, general ledger and reporting systems.
• Extensive knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting requirements for a financial institution
• Minimum ten years’ experience in accounting/finance position with at least five years’ experience in a management role
• Strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills required
