Role Description

We're seeking an experienced Surgical Experience Coordinator to become an integral part of a growing, patient-centered facial plastic surgery practice.

The Surgical Care Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, guiding patients through life-changing procedures, and delivering an exceptional concierge-level experience from consultation through recovery. The practice emphasizes patient education, safety, and clear communication throughout the surgical experience. Team members are encouraged to collaborate closely to ensure a professional, respectful, and compassionate patient experience. You'll work directly alongside a highly respected facial plastic surgeon and play a key role in the continued growth of the practice.

Primary Responsibilities

• Guide patients from consultation through surgery scheduling and recovery
• Educate patients on procedures, timelines, pricing, financing, and next steps
• Prepare surgical quotes and coordinate deposits and payments
• Schedule surgeries and manage pre-operative requirements
• Coordinate with referring providers and surgical facilities
• Obtain insurance authorizations when appropriate
• Follow up with prospective surgical patients
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR
• Support front desk and clinical workflow as needed

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in plastic surgery, another surgical specialty, or a luxury hospitality/service environment
• Experience coordinating surgeries and managing patient schedules
• Insurance authorization experience preferred
• Experience with EMR/practice management software
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences
• Strong communication and customer service skills
