Traveling Field MechanicThe Traveling Field Mechanic with MYR Group you'll travel to project sites across the designated service area, supporting our field teams. You'll use your skills to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs safely and professionally. Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company schedulesFrequently travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of equipment. Must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional mannerMay provide oversight for less experienced mechanicsPerform routine and preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairsIdentify mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipmentMaintain records of time and materials used on each job, the condition of the equipment, and the repairs performedTrack information in computer software; ensure repair orders and weekly timesheets are complete and accurateConduct safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentationWork in accordance with DOT, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Interstate Authority, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other rules and regulations as requiredParticipate in training programs; maintain and update safety skills and knowledge; keep current with hazardous material training requirementsOther duties as assignedRegular and predictable attendanceEssential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standardsQualificationsMust have three years of experience in general heavy truck repair, automotive repair, or equipment repair; equivalent trade school/technical school time may be applied toward this requirement OR have completed a vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in vehicle and equipment repair and have four years of experience.Must be capable of operating company vehicles and equipment on a daily basis. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
