Job Description Minimum 1+ years special education experience required. Special Education Teacher Location: Winder, GA Position Type: Part-Time Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and educational standards. Create and adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. Provide direct instruction and support in individual and small group settings, focusing on students specific learning goals. Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate students into the general classroom environment as appropriate. Assess and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods and goals as needed. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns. Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation. Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in special education. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; Masters degree preferred. Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement or eligibility to obtain certification. Experience working with students with disabilities and developing IEPs. Knowledge of various learning disabilities and effective instructional strategies. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
