The Diagnostic Technologist - Outpatient performs diagnostic imaging procedures including x-rays of the chest, extremities, and other specified areas. The Diagnostic Technologist - Outpatient performs diagnostic imaging procedures including x-rays of the chest, extremities, and other specified areas. They operate radiologic equipment independently, process and archive images, and assist with patient preparation and basic care under supervision. Responsibilities:
- Position patients and prepare them for x-ray procedures in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to capture high-quality images.
- Process, label, and upload images into PACS systems for review.
- Assist patients with obtaining vital signs, specimen collection, and patient setup for examinations.
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked exam area, ensuring supplies and equipment are readily available.
- Float to Main Radiology as required to support departmental operations.
- Hold a current Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT).
- Possess current CPR certification.
- Maintain valid California Fluoroscopy Permit and ARRT licensure.
- Demonstrate experience with EPIC EMR systems.
- Preferred: prior traveler or temporary staffing experience in radiologic imaging.
