Title: Senior Project Manager – Commercial HVAC & Mechanical Construction

Location:  Hagerstown, MD

 

Professional Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects from turnover through closeout. This position will oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractors, field coordination, change orders, documentation, and customer relationships. The ideal professional will bring strong mechanical construction knowledge, leadership skills, financial awareness, and the ability to proactively resolve challenges while maintaining project performance and customer satisfaction.

 

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, or related construction.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical construction practices .
• Experience managing projects ranging from $250K to $5M.
• Proven experience with project schedules, budgets, procurement, manpower planning, job costs, and change orders .
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, customers, general contractors, engineers, and architects.
• Knowledge of contract administration, RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and closeout processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct regular jobsite visits and work closely with field leadership.
• Experience with design-build projects, project management software, construction management systems, or Microsoft Project is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
• Experience with healthcare, government, education, industrial, or large commercial projects is a plus.
• Military construction, facilities, engineering, logistics, or public works experience is welcomed.
