Welder
Kooks Inc
Job Title
Reads blueprints/drawings
Takes/reads measurements
Operates machinery such as grinders, band saws, etc.
Loads metal parts/tubing into fixtures
Aligns parts using calipers, rulers, clamps, etc.
Ensures proper fitment of parts
Tack welds parts together
MIG & TIG welds parts under supervision of more experienced welders
Stages jobs for Welder II's and III's
Assists Welder's II & III's as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
1 – 2 years on the job (MIG & TIG) welding experience
Experience using saws, welder machines, tools, etc.
Knowledge of PPE (face shields, welder helmets, gloves, steel toes, curtains, etc)
Commitment to excellent quality standards
Commitment to safety
Ability to read and speak English fluently
Helpful, friendly & positive attitude
High School diploma/GED required
Experience welding stainless steel a plus
Welding Certification Program (AWS) a plus
Other Details
Periodic lifting (up to 50lbs.)
Sustained periods of standing
