Job Summary:
An Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Boston, Massachusetts. The role involves providing perioperative care within a Level I trauma center environment, supporting neuro, orthopedic, and trauma cases. The position requires candidates to bring their nursing license on the first day and is scheduled for 12-hour shifts. This opportunity offers a chance to be part of a teaching hospital setting with EPIC electronic medical records.

Job Details:

• Location: Boston, MA
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, with additional 8-hour shifts during rotation; candidates must discuss schedule preferences during the interview.
• Schedule: 36 to 40 hours per week, including weekend rotations and call, which are at the discretion of the manager.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license (willing to wait for license), BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of RN experience, trauma level I experience, teaching hospital experience, and familiarity with EPIC EMR.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience scrubbing and/or circulating neuro, orthopedic, and trauma cases.
• Additional Responsibilities: Expect to work in a fast-paced trauma center environment, taking part in call rotations approximately 1-4 times within a 4-week period, with a response time of 45 minutes.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Dress Code: Hospital-issued scrubs.
• Shift requirements include working every other weekend and participation in call duties, with details discussed during the interview.
• No scrubbing is required but considered a bonus.
• The unit averages 75 cases per day, primarily neuro, ortho, trauma, cardiac, and ex lap surgeries.
• EMR system: EPIC and CERNER.
• Candidates must confirm they have no limitations preventing acceptance of the position, have explored housing options, and are willing to start on 06/29/2026.
