Supermarket Associate Location: Retail Grocery Store

Overview of the Position: The grocery associate is responsible for increasing customer trust and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions, and a friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide ongoing attention to customer needs; greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.

Offer product suggestions when appropriate.

Stock and rotate department products (groceries, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen foods) to ensure freshness and date control.

Restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and keep supply cost lower.

Operate department equipment and tools.

Help receive vendor merchandise.

Unload truck deliveries promptly.

Notify management about associate theft, customer shoplift, unauthorized discounts, property defacement, or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Meet legal and company policy age requirements for job functions.

Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.

Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it.

Completion and background verification.

Preferred: High standard of integrity and reliability.
