School Cafeteria / Food Service Worker

We are seeking dependable and enthusiastic individuals to join our school food service team. This position plays an important role in ensuring students receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Candidates should be reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while providing friendly and professional service to students and school staff.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and assembly of breakfast and lunch meals in accordance with school guidelines and food safety standards.
• Wash, cut, and prepare ingredients for daily meal service.
• Portion and package food items accurately and efficiently.
• Stock serving lines, refrigerators, and food stations with necessary supplies throughout meal periods.
• Serve meals and distribute lunches to students while maintaining a positive and courteous attitude.
• Monitor food quantities and replenish items as needed during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, and dining spaces.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment following established sanitation procedures.
• Assist with receiving and organizing food deliveries and maintaining inventory when needed.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling practices.
• Work collaboratively with cafeteria staff and supervisors to ensure meal service runs smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with students and staff.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting as needed.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Previous food service or cafeteria experience is preferred but not required.
