Job Title: Construction Superintendent Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects in the field, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The role involves serving as the primary point of contact on the jobsite, coordinating subcontractors, managing daily activities, and effectively communicating progress to the Project Manager and the owner. Most of your day will be spent on-site problem-solving, maintaining schedules, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. If issues arise with subcontractors or project timelines, you will work closely with the Project Manager to find solutions and keep the project moving forward. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects while being home every night.

• Lead and oversee construction projects in the field.

• Serve as the primary point of contact on the jobsite.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage daily activities.
• Communicate progress to the Project Manager and owner.
• Problem-solve on-site to maintain schedules and oversee quality and safety.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward.

• 5+ years of superintendent experience.
• Experience in commercial or educational projects.
• Demonstrated high character.

• K-12 construction experience.
• Healthcare construction experience.
• Large commercial construction experience.

The work environment is based in downtown Grand Rapids, with opportunities also available in Lansing and Kalamazoo locations. The office is located in a modern 4-year-old building. The company prides itself on being a close-knit, team-oriented organization with a long-standing presence since 1891. The culture is one of humility and collaboration, with little emphasis on job titles. You will work directly with two to three other superintendents and collaborate with Project Manager partners. The dress code requires a collared shirt and slacks, with steel-toe footwear mandatory on jobsites.

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Grand Rapids,MI.

This position is anticipated to close on Sep 17, 2026.
