Fiscal Officer II

Directs the work of a large staff in the operation of a large to very large scale complex accounting program through a subordinate accounting officer or accountant functioning at a responsible level and in the work of a large group of related activities; and in addition, has major substantive non-accounting financial or budgetary responsibility in a department or institution having an annual budget of over $50,000,000.
Requirements to qualify: Completion of twenty-one (21) semester units or thirty-two (32) quarter units in accounting including at least two courses in cost accounting, governmental accounting, or auditing in an accredited college. -AND- Option I: One year of highly responsible fiscal administrative experience at the level of Fiscal Officer I or Option II: Two years' supervisory accounting experience at the level of an Accounting Officer II or higher. Physical Class 2 Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.
Desirable qualifications: Additional experience in excess of the qualifying requirement. Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
