Industrial Controls TechnicianPosition: Industrial Controls Technician Salary Grade: 3Primary Purpose:Responsibilities:- Install, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems to control and monitor industrial machinery and equipment- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on industrial control systems to ensure optimal functionality- Diagnose and resolve issues in PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, and other electrical components- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to design and implement control systems for new projects- Conduct thorough testing of control systems to ensure accuracy and reliability- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately for future referenceRoles: Expected behaviors and activities performed to fulfill responsibilities· Practice and encourage the best safety practices resulting in zero lost time within department.· Implement and practice effective 5S and participate in regular team 5S audits.· Set an example of working hard and doing the right things, exhibit energy and positivity.· Accountable to follow instruction and established routines and process to achieve results.· Understand and achieve Reasonable Expectations (REs) for current position and responsibilities (excellent productivity and quality) and participate in regular team process audits.· Engage in clear, courteous, effective, honest, and open communications with team members and others within and outside the department and company.· Develop and seek positive relationships; actively participate in regular huddles and goal setting.· Solve issues through general instructions with some variations in sequence.Essential qualifications and skills- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or certification in a related field is preferred- Proven experience as an Industrial Controls Technician with strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting- Familiarity with various brands of PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric- Proficient in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings- Ability to diagnose issues in electrical systems using diagnostic tools- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform quick repairs under pressure- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accuratelyEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
