The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Grandville region seeking Purchasing Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidatesnot just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts and performance evaluation.
- Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules.
- Lead and mentor a team of purchasing agents, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, engineering) to understand material requirements and specifications.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of operations.
- Analyze market trends and economic conditions to inform purchasing decisions.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successful negotiation and vendor management.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and procurement software.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and implement cost-saving strategies.
