Customer Service Specialist

The Customer Service Specialist plays a key role in supporting hundreds of families every week by providing compassionate, accurate, and efficient service. This role is responsible for assisting clients with information about PRC services, answering inquiries, resolving concerns, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a positive experience for every client—whether interactions occur by phone, email, or in person.

As a front desk team member, clear communication, empathy, and professionalism are essential. This position upholds PRC's core values, promotes a high level of customer care, and supports smooth clinic operations by working collaboratively with teammates, doctors, and leadership.

Operational & Administrative Support
  • Collaborate with teammates and doctors regarding patient needs, client questions, and scheduling.
  • Use PRC software to accurately record patient services and update client information.
  • Support pharmacy tasks, including prescription fulfillment following proper protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of vaccine protocols, handling guidelines, and clinic workflow.
  • Safely transport pets to and from the building when needed, ensuring calm and secure handling.
  • Perform additional delegated tasks as required to support clinic needs.
Teamwork & Professional Expectations
  • Show initiative in identifying ways to improve efficiency and client experience.
  • Maintain excellent communication with supervisors—including providing at least two weeks' notice for schedule needs.
  • Remain flexible with scheduling when possible to support organizational goals.
  • Model PRC's core values, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction.
  • Maintain a strong focus on speed, accuracy, and quality of work.

Requirements

  • High energy and a passion for helping both animals and people
  • Outgoing, positive personality with strong communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a very high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Receptionist or customer service experience (2+ years preferred but not required)
  • Strong computer confidence and accurate typing skills
