Job Summary Works under minimal supervision with physicians to perform ultrasound imaging exams, follow protocols, and facilitate equipment maintenance. If hired without RVT or RVS certification, obtain RVT within six months. Preferred Bachelor’s Degree At least 2 years of ultrasound experience Shift Thursday–Sunday, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM (on call) Job Duties Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure appropriate supplies for procedures. Check equipment and accessories for proper operation and report needed repairs. Respond to patient inquiries and coordinate exam schedules. Provide equitable distribution of departmental workloads and mentor new staff. Perform quality control on assigned equipment and report issues promptly. Adhere to departmental time, attendance, and dress‑code policies. Communicate problems, equipment status, and pending exams to appropriate staff. Assist physicians with additional imaging or biopsy procedures as needed. Ensure all images and records are stored in PACS with proper labeling. Administer contrast material, monitor patients, and report adverse reactions. Participate in quality assurance, accreditation processes, and regulatory compliance activities. Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment to reduce downtime. Security This position is security‑sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215.
