A/R Collection Specialist

We're seeking an A/R Collection Specialist to manage the full collections cycle for a portfolio of commercial (B2B) accounts. This role is key to maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring timely resolution of past?due balances, short payments, and invoice disputes. You'll collaborate across departments, drive proactive outreach, and maintain accurate account records in a fast paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage collections activity on assigned accounts, including outreach via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Investigate and resolve short payments, disputes, and account discrepancies.
• Partner with internal teams (Sales, Billing, Accounting, AP, Shipping) and customer contacts to accelerate payment resolution.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and escalate accounts as needed.
• Generate monthly statements, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with departmental standards.

What We're Looking For

• Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent AR/collections experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; professional and diplomatic under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills; ERP/accounting system experience preferred.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline?driven environment.
