Position Summary:

A production coordinator is essential to business operations, bridging the gap between different departments, ensuring smooth communication, and maintaining the workflow.

Essential Functions:

Production

• Conduct work-in-progress (WIP) Counts for the production facility. Excess product that you process for the day or the next day to ensure that there's enough product that is sent out
• Troubleshoot for production to ensure Yield targets are met. This includes ensuring that the cut, weight and machine are all properly calibrated to maximize daily output.
• Extract orders and coordinate between several production areas
• Update and coordinate with various departments including: Pricing, QA, Product Development and Purchasing on product/material changes/updates.
• Ensuring that the rest of the departments are aligned with each other.
• Perform Raw material check and ensure that production is getting the right amount of raw materials from vendors in pounds.

Product Development

• Perform final inspection for sample products and ensure that samples are made based on specific customer requests.
• Serve as a Quality check for the customer before they receive it.
• Assist with tracking sample orders and ensure that they are accurate.
• Directly work with Product Development to determine customer needs on product specifications.
• Assist and coordinate with Sales and Product Development on acquiring new customers through the creation of new specifications for product samples.
• Perform administrative work relating to yield and labor cost for new listing forms (NLF)
• Liaise on behalf of production with sales and product development to ensure that product requests are feasible prior to execution of sample orders
• Perform any other duties as required.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Must have good written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills and problem-solving capabilities.
• Must have the ability to prepare and deliver presentations and speak at minor functions as a departmental representative.
• Must have working knowledge of the facility products..
• Ability to reduce processing costs while cutting and sizing portions accurately with good yields and meeting customer specs.
• Ability to problem solve in terms of trimming and product substitutions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, challenging environment
• Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, in English.
• Must demonstrate the ability to understand the Guide specifications related to the company's internal product specifications.
• Follows the company's Quality Control procedures.

• Desktop or laptop computer.
• Networked printer/ copier/ scanner.
• Google Applications (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.)
• Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer)
• Telephone and Voicemail.

Education & Minimum Experience Requirements

High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus 0-2 years full-time related work experience.
