Accounts Payable Specialist
Detail-oriented and great with numbers? We're looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to keep daily AP running accurately and on time.
What you'll do:
- Support the accounts payable and subcontract payable invoicing process
- Research vendor payments and assist with special payment requests
- Support the reconciliation of vendor statements
- Review and assist with approval of subcontractor monthly billings and payments
- Monitor the collection of lien waiver documents from subcontractors
- Review and post monthly billings and pay applications
- Assist with invoice routing and the AP payment process
- Provide backup documentation for billings, costs, and subcontract payables
- Assist in preparing and submitting 1099 reporting
- Complete daily deposits and cash entries
- Scan incoming vendor invoices and customer payments
- Recommend process improvements to keep AP running efficiently
What we're looking for:
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of progressive related work experience (or a combination of education and experience)
- General accounting knowledge and an understanding of accounts payable procedures
- Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Speed and accuracy on a 10-key
- A professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of lien laws and subcontracts is highly desired
