Program Director/Instructor Pediatric Cardio‑Vascular Sonography Program Position Summary: The Program Director/Instructor leads and maintains the Pediatric Cardiovascular Sonography Program, including lab development, curriculum design, faculty hiring, clinical contract establishment, and accreditation (CAAHEP/JRC‑DMS). The director also develops the annual program budget. Responsibilities Develop and maintain laboratory facilities and curricular materials for the program. Recruit, hire, and supervise program faculty. Establish and manage clinical contracts with partnering facilities. Obtain and sustain CAAHEP/JRC‑DMS accreditation. Create and administer academic schedules and course offerings across face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit formats. Design and monitor the program’s annual budget. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and ethical standards. Provide instruction and mentorship to students in day, evening, and weekend sessions. Qualifications Associate Degree in Sonography with registries in Echo, Pediatric Echo, and Vascular. Three years of work experience in sonography, with teaching experience preferred. Strong understanding of pediatric cardiovascular sonography and accreditation processes. Ability to develop curriculum and deliver instruction in multiple delivery modes. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to teaching on evenings and weekends. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities In‑depth knowledge of pediatric cardiovascular sonography and accreditation requirements. Skill in curriculum development and course instruction. Leadership and program management capabilities. Professional judgment, ethical conduct, and adherence to college policies.
