Step into a dynamic contract opportunity providing specialized physical therapy support for students of all grade levels in a collaborative educational setting. This onsite role requires a dedicated professional to serve as an itinerant physical therapist, helping approximately 35 students reach their functional and academic goals. The position spans from early August through early June, offering a consistent weekday schedule that helps maintain work-life balance.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) state license (required)
- Experience in school-based therapy strongly preferred
- Familiarity supporting diverse caseloads across all grade levels
- Strong organizational skills for managing itinerant service delivery
- Knowledge of IEPs and experience documenting student progress
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Travel between school sites as needed to support an itinerant caseload
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success
- Monitor and report on student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in accordance with district guidelines
