The Sorter is responsible for accurately sorting, organizing, and preparing packages or materials for shipment or storage within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely, accurate order fulfillment and maintaining efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort packages, cartons, or materials by destination, size, route, or product type
• Scan and label items using handheld scanners or warehouse systems
• Inspect items for damage, accuracy, and proper labeling
• Load and unload materials from conveyors, pallets, or carts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
• Follow all warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to a supervisor promptly

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
