Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans geared towards short-term objectives and long-standing communication or swallowing goals.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure an integrative approach to care.
• Provide patient and family education to foster progress outside of the therapy environment.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, striving for seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain thorough documentation that complies with both organizational and regulatory standards.
• Commit to lifelong learning through participation in continuing education and collaborative efforts with colleagues.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
