Description

• Design customized treatment plans aimed at fulfilling immediate objectives and addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy sessions centering on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing mechanics.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to ensure integrative care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to facilitate progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, maintaining seamless transitions in patient care.
• Maintain organized and accurate records in compliance with medical guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with colleagues.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date.
