- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients according to physician prescriptions and established protocols.
- Operate Ethos or Varian radiation therapy machines with proficiency, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Prepare and position patients using custom molds, shields, and localization techniques to target tumors effectively.
- Calculate and verify radiation dosages, adjusting parameters as needed for optimal treatment outcomes.
- Maintain thorough documentation of treatments in EPIC and other electronic health records.
- Ensure radiation safety standards and PPE protocols are strictly followed, participating in emergency and safety procedures.
- Hold a NYS Radiologic Technologists Therapy License with at least 1 year of experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Ethos or Varian radiation therapy equipment.
- Certified as an ARRT Technologist in Radiation Therapy and BLS certified.
- Possess strong communication skills, dependability, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a dynamic setting.
- Have experience with EPIC charting and advanced treatment modules, including IMRT, tumor localization, and CBCT imaging.
