As an engineer, you will be joining our growing Aurora Software department, which includes over 200 software engineers, dev‑ops engineers, systems administrators, database administrators, and network engineers ranging from entry level to senior chief engineers and architects. Staff software engineers frequently take on informal (e.g., subject matter expert) and formal technical leadership roles within their programs, as applicable and per interest. The new Software Engineer will be on an Agile team supporting two programs with a singular baseline and will work in the office executing 2‑week sprints for 3‑month increment deliveries. Basic Qualifications Level3: Bachelor’s degree in Science with 5+ years of software development experience; 3+ years with a Master’s; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree. Level4: Bachelor’s degree in Science with 8+ years of software development experience; 6+ years with a Master’s; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree. Active Top‑Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application. Good understanding of Kubernetes/Helm. Established understanding of the Java programming language. Familiarity with version control using Git and workflows on platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket. Demonstrated success with Agile processes. Preferred Qualifications CompTIA Security+ Certification. Experience with Linux. Experience maintaining user‑facing tools in a cloud environment. Salary Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00–$171,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00–$213,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice‑President or Director positions may be eligible for long‑term incentives.
