Description:
Deliver kitchen items from the line to the guests in the dining room. Help manage the expo station and prepare sauces and garnishes for the dishes. The Runner is responsible for ensuring quality control in all dishes before they are delivered.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver food to guest’s tables in a timely manner
- Answer guest questions regarding our food
- Must know the menu inside and out
- Prepare expo station for service by filling sauces, prepping to-go boxes, prepping gari for service, etc.
- Remove used bottles, glasses, napkins and plates, etc. when guests no longer need them
- Run to-go food to takeout station
- Help manage the KDS screen as line cooks prepare food and it is being run to tables; keep the screen up-to-date
- Complete daily shift opening and closing side work checklist
- Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keep work area clean and organized
- Great interpersonal skills
- 1+ years prior Runner experience or similar role in a restaurant preferred
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
