Electrical BIM Designer

Job Summary Electrical BIM Designer – design documentation, setup and management of Revit BIM models, coordination with other discipline BIM leads, and creation of 3‑D models and 2‑D construction drawings using Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD. Responsibilities Create and manage Revit BIM models in accordance with Jacobs and client BIM standards. Coordinate with electrical discipline, other BIM leads and the overall design team to produce fully coordinated 3‑D models across all design disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L). Create 2‑D construction drawings that support the design intent of senior electrical design staff. Maintain design documentation and ensure clash‑free 3‑D models through collaboration with architects, engineers and other designers. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. At least 3 years of BIM design experience. At least 3 years of relevant electrical systems design experience in the construction industry. Growth in understanding how codes and standards influence design decisions. Growth in understanding design and construction specifications and their function. Basic knowledge of wiring/cabling connections in relation to circuits or device links. Experience following client design and modeling standards. Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling based on mark‑ups or verbal direction. Willingness to learn new things. Ideal Additional Experience At least 3 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience. Understanding of data center environments. Knowledge and design experience with power, cable routing, and lighting systems. Knowledge of electrical systems and one‑line diagrams. Compensation The base salary range for this position is $66,000.00 to $90,800.00; pay will be hourly based on hours worked.
