POSITION SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the Nurse Supervisor, Unit Manager, or Nurse Executive, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides efficient, high-quality nursing care to achieve positive clinical outcomes and ensure high patient and family satisfaction. The RN operates within the scope defined by the State Nurse Practice Act and delegates appropriate care tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The RN oversees comprehensive patient care through physical assessments, nursing diagnoses, care plan development, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Holistic Patient Care & Assessment: Conduct thorough clinical assessments, administer medications and treatments, and create personalized care plans to enhance patient recovery and reduce re-hospitalizations.
• Team Leadership & Delegation: Supervise and delegate care to LPNs and CNAs in line with state practice regulations, fostering a supportive and safe clinical environment.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate closely with attending physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to manage care plans and ensure safe discharge planning.
• Mentorship & Onboarding: Support the orientation, training, and clinical mentorship of newly hired nursing staff to promote team development.
• Modern Documentation: Maintain accurate, real-time clinical documentation using PointClickCare (PCC) EHR software.
• Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Follow HIPAA standards, infection control protocols, and facility safety guidelines to ensure high-quality care.

• Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree in Nursing - ADN, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing - BSN).
• Licensure: Active, current, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
• Certifications: Current BLS/CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers).
• Clinical Experience: Preferred experience in long-term care, post-acute care, rehabilitative, or geriatric nursing; however, strong foundational clinical skills are welcome.
• Language & Communication: Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure clear clinical documentation and patient safety.
• Health Requirements: Must meet required health screenings, including Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) verification as mandated by state guidelines.
