Imagine turning a cart of raw ingredients into a perfectly developed batch that meets exacting standards—every time. As an Ingredient Mixing Operator in Manteno, IL , you’ll work full-time in a contract-to-hire role, producing consistent results by following validated formulas and schedules. Choose from 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift opportunities.

Your Impact

• Transform recipes into reality by gathering, weighing, and sequencing ingredients with precision.
• Operate industrial mixing systems, water meters, and controls safely to meet process targets.
• Maintain batch quality—monitor hydration, temperature, and development; make directed adjustments to time, speed, or additions.
• Protect traceability—verify and record lot codes, expiration dates, and quantities before use.
• Finish strong—discharge batches to assigned troughs or hoppers and complete all quality checks.
• Own the record—accurately complete batch sheets, mixer logs, and lot-tracking forms; capture weights, temperatures, times, deviations, and corrections.
• Go digital—enter production data into tablets or other systems in real time.
• Keep it clean—maintain an organized area and assist with equipment cleaning and product changeovers.
• Lead with safety—follow GMP, allergen-control, food-safety, sanitation, PPE, and workplace-safety protocols.

What It Takes

• Ability to read and execute recipes, formulas, and written instructions accurately.
• Math aptitude for weighing, converting units, and portioning.
• High attention to detail for measurements, lot tracking, and documentation.
• Readiness to work safely around industrial production equipment.
• Strength to handle up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for long stretches, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Comfort in environments with variable temperatures and machine noise.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong teamwork.
• Willingness to work the assigned shift and up to six days per week when needed.

Preferred Profile

• Experience running industrial mixers and/or kettles.
• Background in food manufacturing, batching, blending, or ingredient processing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish capability.

Compensation & Role Details

• Pay: $18.00–$26.00 per hour (commensurate with verified experience and skills).
• Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
• Assignment: Contract-to-hire.
