Responsibilities:Provide tax compliance and advisory services to Korean corporations and operating partnerships for a variety of clients from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businessesCalculate and/or audit the provision for income taxes under ASC740Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experience with our Korean clients; manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projectsManage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients; build and manage client relationships; advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and adviceOversee risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgetsEngage in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firmQualifications:Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation and/or law firmBachelor's degree from an accredited college/universityLicensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that listExperience with corporate taxation, operating partnerships, and tax provisionsProven experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teamsFluent in both English and Korean; excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information in both languagesKPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
