Facilities Maintenance Technician

May include outreach and support to all HOPE sites. Assures good customer service and business practices. Principle Responsibilities Perform daily maintenance of assigned buildings/grounds. Perform quality repairs and assure adequate maintenance through scheduling and documentation. Prepare all required reports as needed and assure accurate documentation is maintained. Assure compliance with agency safety practices and OSHA standards are maintained. Respond to customer calls, complaints, suggestions and feedback. Assure customer satisfaction. Perform and supervise painting of building interiors. Perform periodic quality control through monitoring and confirmation calls. Perform minor repair of plumbing, lighting and electrical. Perform preventive maintenance procedures and minor service for the HVAC (Filters/belts/cleanings). Monitor the maintenance and repair of machinery and or equipment. Act as a mandated abuse reporter. May perform other duties as assigned to assure efficiency of program. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED, plus four years of related work experience. Additional business related experience and/or education may be required depending on the assignment. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to facilitate systems and checks to assure delivery of quality service and product to internal and external customers. Knowledge of the principles of management, supervision, planning, fiscal management. Knowledge of the principles of repair, maintenance and safety regulations. Ability to observe, evaluate, document verbally and in writing. Knowledge of basic electricity, plumbing, lighting, light carpentry, HVACR, and general maintenance procedures and disciplines. Possession of a universal CFC certification is a plus. Practices safe work habits at all times and is knowledgeable of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in maintenance work. California Driver’s License.
