Data Scientist

Data AnalystThis position will be responsible for data analysis, statistical modeling, visualizations, and data engineering to support data insights for the campus.Examples Of DutiesExtract and analyze data from the Banner ERP system and related data sources to fulfill internal data requestsDevelop modeling frameworks for prediction, classification, and similar goals, utilizing machine learning models and artificial intelligence tools when appropriateDesign and develop dashboards, reports, and visualization using Power BI or other approved data visualization toolsIdentify opportunities for enhancing data assets and propose innovative solutionsTranslate business needs into technical solutions and provide data-driven recommendationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business challengesDevelop and maintain data models, data definitions, and documentationEnsure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports and systemsAutomate and optimize recurring reports and analytical processesMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to stakeholdersSupport data governance and compliance initiativesOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related fieldProficiency and experience with statistics and predictive analyticsProficiency and experience with machine learning & deep learning modelsProficiency and experience with Python, R, SQLStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise mannerPreferred QualificationsProficiency and experience with business intelligence toolsAll candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring immigration sponsorship, including but not limited to non-immigrant visas, such as H1B, STEM, or F1, now and in the future.New College of Florida (NCF) is an equal opportunity employer and educational provider committed to a policy of non-discrimination for any member of the NCF community on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veterans' status, marital status, or any other legally protected group status.
