The program is known for its community outreach and low student-to-faculty ratio of 5:1 for clinic experiences, and 10:1 for labs. Enrollment in the professional program is limited in Klamath Falls to 20-22 students per year. Enrollment in the pre-dental hygiene courses is open to anyone meeting Oregon Tech admission requirements. One year of prerequisite ( pre-dental hygiene ) coursework is required for students prior to entry into the professional program. Pre-requisite courses may be taken at any community college or university and transferred in to Oregon Tech following our transfer guide. The Dental Hygiene program offers a mix of face-to-face, online and blended courses as part of the curriculum. The department of Dental Hygiene is recruiting a pool of Adjunct Instructors for possible part‑time teaching positions. Teaching Modality: Adjunct Instructors of Dental Hygiene will be expected to complete in-person/on-campus instruction and/or related in-person/on‑campus clinic or labs. Location: The Klamath Falls, OR, campus. Position Type Adjunct Classification Title Adjunct Faculty College/Division College of Health, Arts & Sciences (HAS) Department Hiring Unit Work Location Appointment FTE (%) Position Terms/Mo Annual Salary Per Work Load Unit (WLU) Additional Requirements Master’s Degree or higher in Dental Hygiene or a directly related field. Experience teaching at the college level. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis at the time of hire; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or other employment-based immigration support. Preferred Qualifications Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard). Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
