Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Full-time, primarily on-site
Compensation: $65,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications

We are looking for a motivated Tax Associate / Staff Accountant who wants hands-on experience in tax, accounting, financial reporting, and client service—and who wants to build a long-term career in public accounting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate, CPA candidate, or accountant with approximately 0–3 years of experience. You will work directly with experienced CPAs, gain exposure to a wide range of clients and tax matters, and receive ongoing training and mentorship as your responsibilities grow.

What you will do

As a Tax Associate / Staff Accountant, you will build practical experience across tax and accounting services for small-business and individual clients. Your work will include:

• Prepare individual, business, payroll, and sales-tax returns with review and guidance from experienced CPAs
• Assist with tax planning, projections, notices, research, and client consulting projects
• Prepare and review accounting records for small-business clients
• Compile, analyze, and interpret financial statements and other financial information
• Prepare adjusting and closing journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare financial reports and analyses that support client decision-making
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding accounting and tax matters
• Learn and use accounting, tax-preparation, and document-management technology
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, and the client experience

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Recent graduate, CPA candidate, or approximately 0–3 years of accounting, tax, bookkeeping, payroll, or public-accounting experience
• Coursework, internship, or prior experience in tax, accounting, financial reporting, bookkeeping, or small-business services is helpful
• Familiarity with Excel and Microsoft 365
• Experience with QuickBooks or tax-preparation software is helpful, but not required
• Progress toward CPA eligibility or CPA licensure is a plus
